Over Thanksgiving break, SSHS Team 1585B – Dawn won the Skills Championship at the UT-Tyler Robotics Tournament. Team members Justin Chen, Eric Li, Gavin Sills, and Yerin (Kaitlyn) Son (not pictured) showcased precision and teamwork to secure the victory.
On Saturday, December 7, SSHS Team 1585Z – Blitz emerged as Skills Champions and tournament finalists after a 16-hour battle at the 67 Classic V5 Tournament at Texas High. The team, made up of Aliyas Whorton, Cooper Thesing, Pierce Dollison, and Tyler Scott, displayed grit and determination to earn the win.SSHS Team 1585X – Gelly, featuring Adrian Escobedo, Gavin Solorzano, Nolan Fleming, Sawyer Shutt, and Seth Johns, also delivered a strong performance at the tournament as tournament finalists.
All three teams — Dawn, Blitz, and Gelly — will compete again on Saturday, December 14, at Commerce High School, aiming to continue their success.
