Communities In Schools (CIS) is an organization that works on school campuses to help students overcome obstacles that interfere with them being successful at school. 

A few things CIS can assist with:

*School Supplies/Back Packs-provide supplies throughout the school year to students in need  

*Clothing/Shoes/Coats- keep clothes closet for students in need

*Food-provide emergency food and work with local resources for ongoing assistance

*Vision-CIS partners with Sight for Students to provide eye exams and glasses at no charge for students without benefits

*Transportation-can assist families in getting to medical or other appointments

*Supportive Guidance-provide one-on-one support to students experiencing emotional or behavioral challenges
