Members of the Blue Blazes tell students at Travis Elementary about the Blaze Buddy program which is both a fund raiser and public relations event for the Blue Blazes.  For a membership fee any young girl ages Pre-K through 5th grade is eligible to be a part.  As a member, the participants are assigned a specific Blaze to be their "buddy" for the current school year.  The participants receive a t-shirt, and good luck notes and pictures from the Blazes throughout the year as well as several opportunities to interact with them:  ie.  football game appearance, Christmas parade appearance, and the opportunity to dance in spring show.
