Our Distance Learning Program is not designed to replicate school as we know it under normal circumstances. Our goal at this time is to provide learning activities that allow students to stay academically engaged while at the same time offering great flexibility to families as to how and when they engage in these activities. We hope that the Distance Learning Program, especially as it continues to develop, will offer students opportunities to stay connected with their teachers and classmates during this time when many may feel isolated. Above all, our main priority is the well-being of all of our students and their families.
We recognize the challenges that many families will face as they try to get started with distance learning. Families who do not have access to electronic devices for students to access their learning activities will have the opportunity to check out school issued devices and we are working to develop ways to help families without reliable internet access at their homes. We are committed to working to get as many families as possible the necessary resources to connect to our Distance Learning Program online but are also currently working to develop alternative options for cases in which digital options are just not possible.
