Back to School Learning Options
Sulphur Springs ISD recognizes the incredible value of in person instruction, on our campuses, led by qualified, caring teachers, in order to provide a quality education for all students. We also recognize that very real health and safety concerns for many families at this time will not allow for all students to participate in traditional on campus instruction.  Therefore, SSISD will offer two instructional delivery models for the 2020-2021 school year.  Families will have the flexibility to choose the model that best meets the needs of their children while addressing the health and safety concerns for all children during the COVID-19 pandemic.   
SSISD Full On-Campus header
  • Students will attend school on campus full
    time, during regular school hours,
    Monday through Friday.
  • Enhanced health and safety protocols will
    be in place.
SSISD Virtual Academy Header
  • Students will engage in instruction at
    home, through an online platform full
    time, Monday through Friday.
  • Coursework will follow the SSISD
    curriculum and daily participation is
    required for attendance.

Beginning on Thursday, July 23rd parents/guardians will be asked to make a commitment for their child(ren) to attend school on campus or through the SSISD Virtual Academy. In order to prepare schedules and finalize staffing decisions, we need commitments to be made no later than 8:00 am on Tuesday, August 4.

Your child’s schedule and teacher assignments cannot be finalized until we receive your commitment to one of the two learning options for the 2020-2021 school year and your registration for new and returning students. Online registration is currently open in Skyward if you have not yet completed that process.
