Beginning this Friday, October 10, SSISD will be serving farm-fresh produce from Walnut Creek Farm as part of the "Farm Fresh Fridays" initiative. Click here for more information!
Sulphur Springs ISD Child Nutrition Department is partnering with Walnut Creek Farm and accepting the challenge put out by the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) by participating in the "Farm Fresh Fridays" initiative. Farm Fresh Fridays offers a new and exciting way to engage students about the foods served in their school and inspire strong, sustainable connections to local food and Texas farmers and ranchers. Additionally, it helps build relationships between schools and agricultural producers, allowing schools to incorporate more local flavors into their menus.
Beginning this Friday, October 10, SSISD campuses will be serving farm-fresh produce from Walnut Creek Farm. Students can enjoy fresh Texas cantaloupe and honeydew on Friday!
