Located at 825 Church Street, Lamar enrolls almost 250 students each year. A dedicated staff and supportive parents work tirelessly to live up to the school's motto, "Lamar sheds light on the subject!"

The light of academics, character development, physical health and cultural enrichment is shed through special programs designed to meet the needs of every child.

Programs such as Accelerated Reader, Success Maker, A+ Learning, Literacy Support, Multi-sensory Teaching Approach, Content Mastery utilize current methods of instruction to help students reach the highest level of academic success. An up-to-date computer lab equipped with individual laptop units along with computers in every classroom provides students ready access to technology and the Internet information network.

Physical and cultural development are priorities on this campus. Top-notch physical education and music programs include health education, a performing juggling team, strings, and choral instruction.
