SSHS Strings competed for first time in the high school division of UIL Concert and Sight-reading. The group received an Excellent rating for stage performance, as well as a Superior rating for sight-reading.

2008-04-19 :: Damione Lewis Football Camp Held at SSHS Practice Field

Damione Lewis Football Camp Former Wildcat and current NFL football player Damione Lewis conducted a football camp to benefit the Boys and Girls Clubs of Hopkins County. Lewis was assisted by another former Wildcat and NFL football player Caleb Miller, as well as members of the Wildcat coaching staff.

2008-02-23 :: SSMS Continues UIL Academic Winning Streak

Sulphur Springs Middle School students were successful in keeping their winning streak alive at the district UIL academic meet held February 23rd in Texarkana. The 716.5 points earned by SSMS students provided the campus with its 16th straight district win.
